As the ACRC approaches its 20th Anniversary of collecting and recycling Crop Protection containers, I want to officially welcome each visitor to the revised and updated ACRC Website (www.acrecycle.org).  The ACRC membership has worked diligently to make sure that the Web Site provides  content that is not only interesting but also of value to ag retailers, contractors, members, state and federal regulators, and all commercial pesticide users and applicators.

During the last 20 years the ACRC has gone from an organization that worked to safely collect pesticide containers in a research oriented fashion, to an organization that is now more commercially oriented without sacrificing the safety that member companies and the public depend on.  It was the ACRC model that helped give California the guidelines (under ANSI/ASABE) to implement their state program and to ensure that everyone understood what pesticide container stewardship standards should be.

As you look at the web site you will find there are several valuable links within the site itself.
Each member company has a link to their web site that provides access to company information.  There are links to valuable educational documents and videos that illustrate how to clean containers for recycling, and where to go for more information on ACRC contractors who will collect properly prepared empty pesticide containers. Updated information on end uses for the recycled plastic will soon be available.  Also news updates on pesticide recycling issues will continue to be posted.

Members will have access to Executive Board minutes, by-laws, and member company representative contact information through a password protected gateway.

This is a great start to the 21st year of the ACRC.  We are growing both in membership and annual pounds collected. It is our hope that visitors will learn that the Crop Protection Industry is committed to long term support of container recycling and product stewardship inan enviromenatllyresponsible and safe manner.
